NOT YOUR TYPICAL DANCE CLASS

This isn’t about pole.

This is about what happens when you stop waiting and start moving again.

You’ve been thinking about doing something like this.
Something just for you.
Something a little outside your comfort zone.
Something that reminds you there’s still more in you.

You don’t need more time.
You don’t need more confidence.
You don’t need permission.

You need a moment where you decide to go.

This is that moment.

Join us at The Halo Den - 11411 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA

One day experience.

$65 per person

You’ve been carrying a lot.

Work. Family. Life. Loss. Change. Responsibility.

At some point, your body stopped feeling like yours.
Not in a dramatic way. In a quiet, slow drift.

You still show up.
You still handle everything.

But something’s missing.

This is where you start to reconnect.

What this actually is

This is a guided, supportive, beginner experience designed specifically for women over 40.

No performance.
No pressure.
No expectations of what you “should” look like.

You’ll be led step by step through:

  • simple movement
  • beginner pole work
  • grounded choreography
  • and moments that reconnect you to your body in a way that feels real

You’ll move at your own pace.
You’ll be supported the entire time.
You’ll be in a room full of women who get it.

You don’t need to be “good” at this.
You just need to show up.

What it feels like when you walk in

You’re a little unsure.
Maybe even nervous.

You look around and realize everyone else feels the same way.

Within minutes:

  • you’re laughing
  • you’re moving
  • you’re not overthinking every step

By the end:

  • you feel stronger than you expected
  • more connected than you’ve felt in a while
  • and proud that you actually did it

Not perfectly.
But fully.

This is for you if

  • You’ve been putting yourself last for years
  • You don’t quite recognize your body the way you used to
  • You want to feel strong, sensual, and in control again
  • You’re curious, but also a little intimidated
  • You keep saying “I should do something for myself” and then don’t

You’ve been thinking about this already.
Now act on it.

This is NOT for you if

  • You’re looking for a high-level pole fitness class
  • You want advanced tricks or performance training
  • You’re only comfortable staying in your routine

This is about stepping into something new.
Gently. Honestly. Fully.

You are not the only one

Women who have come to this workshop include:

  • a sheriff
  • a dentist
  • a teacher
  • a mom who hadn’t done anything like this in 20 years

Different bodies. Different backgrounds. Same starting point:

“I don’t know if I can do this… but I want to try.”

They did.
And many of them came back.

About your instructor

I’m Nancy. I am also known as Zen.

I’m 56.
I’ve lived a full life.
I’ve been through loss, reinvention, and starting over more than once.

I spent decades in corporate leadership before building this.

Not only because I wanted to teach pole.

But because I know what it feels like to lose connection with yourself, and pole gave me a way back and I've seen it do the same for so many others.

This is that work.

I built this for women like us.

What to wear

  • Comfortable clothes you can move in
  • Shorts are helpful for grip, but not required
  • Heels are optional. I bring them if you want to try

No special outfit.
No expectation to look a certain way.

Just come as you are.

Why now matters

You can keep thinking about this.
You can keep telling yourself “maybe next time.”

But you already know how that goes.

Time keeps moving.
You stay in the same place.

Or…

You decide this is one of those moments where you actually go.

Final note

You don’t need to become someone new.
You don’t need to prove anything.

But you do deserve to feel something again in your body
that isn’t just responsibility.

You’ve been ready.
Now move.

FAQs

Q: What do I wear?

A: You can choose to be daring or conservative! Or wear something comfortable, but bring something a little more racy to change into once you are feeling relaxed. This could mean workout shorts, a tank top, a sports bra, a bikini, or lingerie... use your imagination! And remember, we are not shy here, and all bodies are beautiful and deserve to be celebrated, including yours!

Q: Do I need high heels?

A: You can choose to wear high heels if you have them and are comfortable walking and moving in them. Platform heels are better than wedges or stilettos. Pleasers and Hella Heels are the standard! HOWEVER, bare feet work really well too.

This experience will give you back as much as you put into it. Choose clothes and shoes that are going to make you feel like a sexy pole goddess!

Q: Do I have to be flexible?

A: You do not have to be flexible to participate in this workshop. We will be prepared with modifications for anyone with mobility challenges, including limited range of motion, knee, shoulder, or back pain or injury, weak hand grip, arthritis, or balance issues.

Q: Do I have to be strong?

A: We bet you are stronger than you think you are ;) But the answer is NO. You start from where you are, and strength builds over time as you practice pole. We will not ask you to hang by your feet or to support your entire weight with one arm!

Q: What kind of music will we dance to?

A: As Gen Xers, we appreciate all types of music. For this workshop, we will be dancing to songs you know from the 80s/90s/2000s. We will move to R&B, Hip Hop, and Rock to experience the way different types of music inspire our movement.

Q: Can I come to the workshop if I am not GenX?

A: Yes. If you are a beginner and you are ready to join your GenX sisters, we welcome you to our community!
