Fitness Innovator | Community Builder | Competitive Pole Artist | Twin Mom / Mother of Three
Founder of GenX Pole Arts, Nancy Adzentoivich is a Competitive Pole Artist and Empowerment Advocate who is passionate about helping others uncover their potential and find joy in movement. Known for her dedication to pole dance, Nancy has transformed her own life through this art form and is inspiring others to do the same. In addition, doing so while promoting self-discovery, increasing mental and physical strength, and ultimately demonstrating in every session that age is nothing but a number.
Before she transitioned into fitness, Nancy was an actress in NYC in her early 20s, appearing in theater and film, and later established Epoch Entertainment - a production company known for its interdisciplinary raves in Brooklyn, Baltimore, New Haven, and Boston. Later, building a distinguished 20-year career in advertising and marketing, with 10 of those years serving C-level roles at global agencies. Nancy found herself at a crossroads following her husband's passing in 2018. The shift in life's perspective led her to pole dancing, an endeavor she began at 49 amid the challenges of COVID-19 and during her youngest son's health battle with Crohn’s disease. This became the foundation for Nancy to develop GenX Pole Arts upon being laid off in early 2024, a unique initiative dedicated to empowering individuals over 40 through expressive movement and fitness.
Today, GenX Pole Arts is home to a diverse range of programs, including beginner pole programs, competition coaching, performance readiness plans, exclusive retreats, and more. In addition, it has brought together a sizeable peer-based community (online and in-person) that ignites confidence in one another and celebrates each other's progress. Her commitment to wellness is further reflected in her credentials as a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Personal Trainer, alongside her competitive spirit with a history of participating in triathlons, marathons, competitive swimming, and pole sport events. Thus far, Nancy has competed in three pole sport organization events and is currently training for her fourth.
Beyond GenX Pole Arts, Nancy's influence extends to various other creative spaces. To date, she has co-produced the theatrical show Mt (P) Olympus, which premiered in a Hollywood, CA theater in December 2022 and continues to influence the art of pole dancing and community engagement. This includes serving as the lead recruiter for The Secret Pole Dance Studio competition team, sitting on the board of Inked Crisis Support, and co-owning the Ladies of Leisure Pole Event Production Company based in Los Angeles.
